STIE Anne Elizabeth
Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and Management, University of Agder, Norway. She previously worked as a researcher at ARENA - Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo.
M.-E. Stie is part of the Centre for the Europeanisation of Norwegian Law (CENTENOL) at the University of Bergen ( https://www.uib.no/en/centenol ), and was a member of the Evaluation Committee for Norway's EU membership through the EEA Agreement, appointed by the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs ( https://www.regjeringen.no/no/aktuelt/fekk-utgreiing-om-erfaringane-med-eos/id3033701/ , https://www.eos-utredningen.no/ ). She was also part of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence "Laboratories for Differentiated Integration in a Post-Brexit Europe" (https://jm-excellence.uia.no/ ).
His research focuses on the conditions for democratic government and accountability, especially outside the framework of a nation state (EU), European integration, EU institutions and decision-making, and Norway's relations with the EU, especially the democratic implications of this attachment.
