DEFIDEM is a project funded for the most part by the CNRS as part of the International Research Network calls.

It is directed by Marthe Fatin-Rouge Stefanini, CNRS Research Director, Aix-Marseille University, member of UMR 7318 DICE, and is based at the Institut Louis Favoreu. It is also supported by Aix-Marseille Université, Université de Lille, Université de Bari (Italy), University College Dublin (Ireland), Université de Genève (Switzerland), Université de Laval (Quebec), Université Catholique de Louvain (including Université Saint-Louis, and Université Libre de Bruxelles), the University of Szeged (Hungary), the University of Iceland (Reykjavik), the University of Zagreb (Croatia), the University of Agder (Norway), the SOMUM Institute at Aix-Marseille University, and the Fédération de recherche de la faculté de droit. The DEFIDEM project is part of Axe 3 (Political Institutions and Democracy) of the International, Comparative and European Law Laboratory (UMR 7318 DICE).
