Anne Elizabeth Stie

Stie is part of the Centre on the Europeanization of Norwegian Law (CENTENOL) at the University of Bergen (https://www.uib.no/en/centenol), and was a member of the evaluation committee of Norway’s affiliation to the EU through the EEA Agreement, appointed by the Norwegian Foreign Minister (https://www.regjeringen.no/no/aktuelt/fekk-utgreiing-om-erfaringane-med-eos/id3033701/, https://www.eos-utredningen.no/). She was also part of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence ‘Laboratories of Differentiated Integration in a Post-Brexit Europe’ (https://jm-excellence.uia.no/) Her research interests focus on the conditions for democratic government and accountability, particularly outside a nation-state framework (EU), European integration, the EU’s institutions and decision-making system and Norway’s relations with the EU, especially the democratic implications of this attachment.
